(JournAIDS) is a local Non-Governmental Organization which was established in 2003 and works in thematic areas of sustainable development using an integrated approach.

JournAIDS exists to promote a healthy and sustainable country by advancing pro-poor development policies that end poverty, inequality and human injustice.

A leading civil society organization working towards promoting a healthy, sustainable economy and an open society by 2030.

Our Goal

To contribute towards sustainable development by enhancing evidence based programming to improve the effectiveness of development policies that promote poverty eradication and health well-being for a greener economy.


Projects

Last year JournAIDS executed programs that helped 24 communities in HIV education.


Gender Based Violence

JournAids uses research, advocacy and awareness raising in tackling gender based violence with a rights based approach. We work with NGO's, development partners, the UN office in Malawi and the ministry of gender.

Non-Communicable Diseases and Diabetes

Malawi is one of the Countries severely affected by the Chronic disease burden. NCD's such as diabetes account for 5.6% in Malawi. JournAids started the NCD's program in 2010 with support from World Diabetes foundation from Denmark...

Population and Climate Change

JournAids works through advocacy, capacity building and documentation. It pays attention to the linkages of population, climate and Sustainable development.
